Description:Research Program and Training Program Support:The
coordinator works as primary contact and liaison for Center's
faculty and staff and the Department (ESSIE), UF Treasury,
Contracts and Grants (C&G), and Division of Sponsored Programs
(DSP).For the Center grants, the coordinator assists with the
development and management of proposals to government and industry
sponsors. Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and
University terms and rules. Provides technical assistance to the
Center Director and Program Leads including reviewing requests for
proposal, preparing accurate budgets, formatting and uploading
documents, and coordinating and reviewing all aspects of the
proposal submission to ensure thorough and timely submission to the
DSP for review and submission to sponsor. Works with the Director,
department administrators, principle investigators, and University
core offices to resolve issues.For the auxiliary training center,
the coordinator facilitates the classes by registering students,
answering client's question over phone or email, collecting and
processing payments. Responsible for the creation, maintenance and
upkeep of a database including tracking history of training -
classes, students, revenues, expenses, etc. The coordinator will
also work with the instructors and training staff to maintain
equipment, source new facilities for future trainings. The
coordinator will also generate and distribute certifications and
maintain a detailed database.T2 Administration Support:Provide
administration and coordination of the operation of the T2 Center.
Helps manage the Center budget, coordinate with departmental and
college staff regarding their support on various issues, such as
potential/sponsored applied research, travel, purchasing, proposal
preparation and facilities maintenance. Works with the Fiscal
liaison at ESSIE to initiate, track, and manage research
expenditures, reconciling monthly to ensure accuracy and compliance
with agency and University regulations. Maintain knowledge and
compliance with university policies in sponsored applied research,
purchasing, travel, employment appointments, etc. Provide
recommendations on areas for improvement in administration of T2
Center to ensure effective communication across security,
compliance, and sponsored research functions. Work with UF treasury
to comply with University fiscal requirements. Coordinate with
ESSIE Payroll and HR team for effort reporting, payroll
distributions and monthly reconciliation of grant expenses.
Participates in year-end audits and in ensuring the accuracy of
accounting data. Audit, approve and process all invoices. As
necessary, follow through to ensure a revised invoice is issued in
a timely manner before approved for payment. Review ledger
information monthly to ensure all costs have been captured and
accurately charged. Authorize credit card payments.T2
Communications Support:The coordinator will arrange and coordinate
meetings logistics, and will prepare associated materials
(engagement material, agendas, brochures/tri-folds, etc.). Support
the relationships between T2 Center and industry and government
research and training partners, helping to ensure that their needs
are fully met. Perform or provide oversight of maintenance,
upgrades, and updates to the T2 Center website. Communicate
announcements to members, such as notice of upcoming events,
meetings, etc. Assist and coordinate with preparation and
dissemination of periodic communication (newsletter).Perform other
related duties as assigned, to ensure that T2 Center operations run
smoothly and efficiently.Expected Salary:$45,000-$50,000;
commensurate with qualifications and experienceMinimum
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an
equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred
Qualifications:Must be successful working independently and as part
of a team.Must be proactive and take initiative with limited
supervision.Excellent customer service skills and
professionalism.Experience delivering, scheduling, and promoting
training related to transportation.Experience developing and
analyzing project budgets and schedules.Special Instructions to
