Regional SupportOur regional support center provides resources to
our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources,
Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations,
Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and
Communications.Purpose:We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Assistant Director of Communications. Their primary role is to
manage and support the strategies, development, execution and
implementation of multiple communications initiatives, both
internal and external, including social mediaIn this role, you will
be responsible for managing various internal and external
communications that include leading the coordination, development
and content creation for talent acquisition communication channels,
team member communications, executive talk points and
issue-specific communication tactics. This role will also oversee
the strategy and execution of social media initiatives including
community management, customer service and content creation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Directs the development of innovative and effective social
media plans and updates strategy and tactics based upon business
needs and emerging trends and opportunities
- Leads the team responsible for community management, customer
service and content creation and curation across multiple social
media channels
- Analyzes and interprets sentiment in social listening tools,
regularly reports on findings
- Leads various communications initiatives to support internal
and external stakeholders including Human Resources and hotel
operations, as well as guest-facing and team member
communications
- Applies strategic thinking and planning skills to develop and
implement communications strategies that align with the
organization's goals
- Manages multiple communications projects simultaneously and to
the expected standard, ranging from presentations, regional
updates, executive communications, talk points and other
communications initiatives
- Plans and effectively manages large-scale and small-scale photo
and video shoots, while balancing business demands and guest
expectations
- Employs exceptional writing, editing, ideation and
problem-solving skills to a wide-ranging scope of work
- Discerns and distills complicated issues and communicates
effectively to all relevant audiences
- Embraces the need to adapt, shift and adjust to changing
circumstances in a dynamic environment
- Collaborates effectively at all levels of the organization to
ensure alignment and consistency
- Acts with the utmost care and professionalism in managing
confidential information
- Approaches a wide-range of responsibilities with a high level
of trust and commitment
- Embodies the principles of Loews Hotels & CoQualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution -
in communications, public relations, journalism, hospitality or
related discipline
- 8 - 10 years of experience, including 4 years of supervisory
experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple
projects and duties
- Takes initiative and follows through on all assignments
- Exercises independent judgment in all facets of work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, social media management
platforms
- A keen eye for detail in all facets of work
- Effective time management, leadership and organizational
skills
